We assert that this statement is not true, with support in the opinions of environmental specialists, jurists and philosophers. We analyze a recent judicial decision in Venezuela on the subject.El acoso de los antitaurinos fuertemente organizado en España y otros países europeos ha saltado a la América taurina española. Se ha globalizado. En Francia y España a pesar de los ataques se ha acudido al derecho y se ha trasladado la regulación jurídica de la tauromaquia desde el orden público a un tema de patrimonio cultural inmaterial, con legislación especial al efecto. Su fundamento el derecho de las minorías. Pendiente este salto cualitativo en la América taurina española. Se está usando como argumento antitaurino el tema del impacto sobre el medio ambiente. Aducimos que esa afirmación no es cierta, con apoyo en opiniones de especialistas ambientalistas, juristas y filósofos.
