Social work is a discipline based on the principles of human rights. Both its history, such as ethics and methodological approach, give it an important role in the practice of rights. A practice that goes through the establishment of participatory models involving victims. The theater has been a means used in social work from its modern beginnings. From experience with the homeless, in this article an example of social action is proposed from the interdisciplinary methodology of theater with social work. A methodology that is aimed at the identity recovery of subjects in the appropriation of human rights as a material object.Para colectivos inscritos en fenómenos de exclusión como es el caso de las personas sin hogar, la abstracción de los derechos humanos resulta un hándicap que refuerza más el ostracismo. Siendo un fenómeno que está presente en las sociedades modernas, el sinhogarismo requiere de medidas que apoyen cambios en las actitudes y relaciones sociales, haciendo frente a la separación discriminatoria ente unos y otros. El trabajo social es una disciplina asentada en los principios de los derechos humanos. Tanto su trayectoria histórica, como la fundamentación ética y metodológica, le confieren un papel importante en la práctica de los derechos. Una práctica que transita por el establecimiento de modelos participativos que impliquen a las víctimas. El teatro ha sido un medio utilizado en el trabajo social desde sus inicios modernos. A partir de la experiencia con personas sin hogar, en el presente artículo se propone un ejemplo de acción social desde la metodología interdisciplinaria del teatro con el trabajo social.
