The present article outlines certain observations to consider when embarking on the exercise of an empirical-historical research that leads to the knowledge of the process of elaboration of cultural identity, in the dimension of the social identity that makes a professional group look like and be seen as something unique and cohesive, exercise organized in four sections, the first of them of historiographic nature and the other three of strict conceptual order. On the first of them, it is addressed the dilemma of delimiting the space in which the object of study moves; in relation to the other three, it was decided to relate the research with the following concepts: modernization, profession and social identity; topics whose articulation will depend on the analysis of the events, milestones and dynamics of the annotated period. |
