Summary: The economic crisis has relativized the position of women in the labour market. The Great Recession has mainly affected highly masculinized sectors in our country, increasing the number of male unemployed people relatively whether they are comparted to female unemployment. The result is a sort of «eclipsing effect», in which the attention delivered to women has weakened. The recovery is showing problems of women relating to their integration into the labour market are still there. The main target of this research is to show what the position of women in the Spanish labour market is nowadays and what kind of tools are provided by the Economics and, especially, by the Law in order to handle with the particular problems which characterizes female unemployment.
