This article describes the logical and epistemological bases that allow to design a
logical-mathematical model to analyze graphical representations of space (urban and
social environment).
Overcoming the most common concepts that attempt to systematize an integrative
model of perception and behavior, beyond an anthropocentric vision and that one in
which man is seen as a reactive system. You arrive as well, from a formal point of view,
to consider the urban and social environment as “medium” through which is established
a mediation that “solves” the contradiction between technology and culture.
Finally, genetic epistemology allows us to understand the relationship between
representation and perception-appropriation. According to the representation space
becomes a person, so it can be appropriated; ownership shares as well be influenced
the following representation; in the middle of both processes, conditioned and conditioning
to both, the perception that partakes of the nature of both. They are, in short,
a dialectical relationship.
We can conclude, then, that the cognitive formal structures of the appropriation
of space are nothing but the topogenesis, where interactions take place between the
psycho and sociogenesis.

Superando las concepciones más usuales que intentan sistematizar un modelo integrador de percepción y comportamiento, se va más allá de una visión antropocéntrica y de aquella otra en la que el hombre se ve como un sistema reactivo. Se llega, así, desde un punto de vista formal, a considerar el entorno urbano y social como “médium” a través del cual se establece una mediación que “resuelve” la contradicción entre tecnología y cultura. Finalmente, la epistemología genética nos permite comprender las relaciones entre representación y percepción-apropiación. Según la representación que se hace del espacio una persona, así se lo puede apropiar; según las acciones de apropiación, así se verá influenciada la representación siguiente; en medio de ambos procesos, condicionado y condicionando a los dos, la percepción que participa de la naturaleza de ambos. Son, en definitiva, unas relaciones dialécticas.
