This article is intended to analyze the admission of an amicus curiae in the Spanish constitutional procedure.La figura procesal del amicus curiae, bastante desarrollada en el derecho anglosajón, permite que terceros, ajenos a un debate en el ámbito constitucional, puedan solicitar su ingreso en el procedimiento con el objetivo de contribuir con nuevos elementos que puedan ser útiles a la resolución del caso. A pesar de su importancia constitucional, España no posee ninguna regulación específica en torno a ese sujeto procesal, y es el coadyuvante el que más se asemeja.
