This article analyzes the evaluation of the legal research systems. The main indicators and bibliometric indexes are defined. We defend the existence of a national impact factor database of legal journals to achieve an improvement in security, reliability and more objective measurement of the quality of research in the legal sciences. The international impact must be differen-tiated from the international impact. This article encourages to legal researchers to publish some articles in international impact journals (on issues of comparative and international law would be easier). Legal publications published in the collections of the Journal Citation Report (SSCI collection) and SCImago Journal Rank should have a higher rating than the publications in the Na-tional Impact journals precisely to encourage researchers to perform this over effort. The international impact factor publications are very important - also in the Legal field - to position the Law Faculties of the Universities in the international Rankings; to get European and international Projects and international Networks. Therefore, proposals are made to achieve these goals.

Therefore, proposals are made to achieve these goals.En este artículo se analizan los sistemas de evaluación de la investigación en Ciencias Jurídicas a cuyo fin son definidos los principales indicadores e índices bibliométricos establecidos al efecto por la ciencia de la Bibliometría. Defendemos la existencia de una base de datos de impacto nacional de las revistas jurídicas, que permita diferenciar las contribuciones jurídicas de impacto nacional de las publicaciones jurídicas con impacto internacional. Una base de datos de revistas Jurídicas de impacto nacional llevaría a una mejora en la seguridad, fiabilidad y medici-ón más objetiva de la calidad investigadora en ciencias jurídicas. Respecto al impacto internacional, en este artículo se potencia que los investigadores de Ciencias Jurídicas publiquen en revistas de impacto internacional en aquellas par-celas de las ramas del conocimiento jurídico tangentes al derecho comparado e inter-nacional. Las publicaciones jurídicas que se publiquen en las colecciones de Journal Citation Report (colección SSCI) y SCImago Journal Rank deberían tener una valoración superior a las publicaciones en las Revistas de Impacto nacional, precisamente para incentivar a los investigadores a realizar este sobre esfuerzo. El impacto internacional es clave -también en las Ciencias Jurídicas- para posicionar a las Facultades de Derecho de las Universidades en los Rankings internacionales, para que los investigadores puedan competir en las convocatorias de Proyectos europeos e internacionales y Redes de Proyectos y para dotar a los centros de investigadores acreditados y reconocidos internacionalmente.
