Summary: The study aims to expose the commitments of the spanish legislation in the field of ecological connectivity. As a starting point and using scientific literature, are exposed the origin and scope of the main concepts that allow to understand the essential meaning of connectivity for the maintenance of life processes. Then the major milestones of the reception of this problem are identifyng at the international, european and national orders, which already allow to move to the analysis of specific instruments designed in the spanish experience to ensure ecological connectivity. The more direct regulatory reception is located in the ecological corridors, presenting various modalities for training and management. Alongside them, it also highlights the attempts to correct the fragmentation of habitats for large public works, particularly for roads and railways. In addition, stands the importance of the connective role played by river banks and livestock routes under the legislation of the public properties involved. Finally, is exposed the general connective capability that can play instruments of land-use and urban planning.
