On the other hand it is stressed that we do not receive legal texts but principles, legal techniques and, mainly, legal culture.En el presente artículo se analiza el paralelismo que media entre la recepción del ius commune medieval por los Ordenamientos territoriales de los países occidentales de Europa y la del derecho comunitario europeo por los Estados miembros de la actual Unión Europea. Aquí se desarrolla la hipótesis de que, insistiendo en el paralelismo histórico, lo recibido produce un derecho común vulgar que explica las diferencias entre los derechos nacionales.
