All this is not free of ethical and legal issues, but neuroscience is becoming an important influence when understanding and studying violent and criminal behaviour. Moreover, Positive Neurocriminology focus on the positive processes such as empathy, altruism, positive emotions and prosocial behaviour, among others. This knowledge could be used in the development of prevention and intervention delinquency programs.La neurocriminología persigue aplicar la metodología y las técnicas de estudio de las neurociencias para comprender, predecir, tratar e incluso prevenir la violencia y la criminalidad. Los conocimientos neurocriminológicos podrían ser empleados tanto en la prevención como en el diagnóstico y el tratamiento de la violencia, así como en la estimación de la probabilidad de reincidencia. Aunque todo ello no está libre de cuestiones ético-legales, la neurociencia se está convirtiendo en una importante influencia en la comprensión y el estudio del comportamiento violento y criminal. En este contexto, la neurocriminología positiva se centra en los procesos positivos como la empatía, el altruismo, las emociones positivas y la conducta prosocial, entre otros.
