Summary: The implementation of new information and communication technologies in the workplace has led to a transformation of the work culture. The opportunities offered by a constantly evolving technology have blurred the subordination between the employer and the employee, mainly when the latter is highly qualified. Given Public Administrations are rich in this kind of staff, telework could play a relevant role. This paper deals with telework deployment into the Spanish Public Administrations, with particular emphasis on the advantages and deficiencies of its framework.
