Above all, the German, French and Italian jurisprudence have turned out to be fruitful sources for our Constitutional and Administrative Law, and they have produced some of the most important categories of our legal system and judicial decisions. In addition, in the last decades there has been a growing impact of the American jurisprudence and —concerning particular fields and problems— of other foreign experiences; finally, the project of European integration has given rise to a new Constitutionalism grounded on the idea of «open statehood» (offene Staatlichkeit). This article provides with a general and synthetic picture of the foreign influence in the Spanish public law.Desde sus orígenes decimonónicos, y sobre todo desde la aprobación de la Constitución de 1978, el Derecho público español se ha construido, en buena medida, siguiendo modelos extranjeros. Ante todo, la doctrina alemana, francesa e italiana se han revelado como fuentes de inspiración fructíferas para nuestro Derecho constitucional y administrativo, y han producido categorías centrales de nuestro ordenamiento y de nuestra jurisprudencia. A ello hay que sumar, en las últimas décadas, el impacto creciente de la doctrina norteamericana y, en ámbitos y problemas específicos, de otras experiencias foráneas; finalmente, el proyecto de integración europea ha dado lugar a un nuevo constitucionalismo basado en la idea de «estatalidad abierta» (offene Staatlichkeit).
