This activity, which is dangerous and generates inherent risks for the population and environmental protection, is carried out, through vehicles with special characteristics. So, the paper presented here, remarks a comprehensive study of the abundant and variety regulations affecting this activity. For this purpose, will analyse the technical requirements for these vehicles; signalling; classification, labelling and packaging of da ngerous substances in order to emphasize the importance of those regulations to avoid or minimize the appearance of the serious professional risks that the activity generates.España es un país con un elevado índice de transportes de mercancías peligrosas por carretera. Esta actividad, que de modo indubitado resulta tan peligrosa pues genera unos riesgos inherentes para la población y la protección del medio ambiente, se lleva a cabo por medio de un vehículo con unas características especiales. Así, en el trabajo que aquí se presenta, se realiza un exhaustivo estudio de la abundante normativa que afecta a esta actividad tan transversal.
