The results show that the experience of risk-adventure appears related to the Vygotskian concept of freedom, once the possibility of risk manifests a minimal operation of the self-domain, not experienced in the context of deprivation of liberty.Partindo da teoria histórico-cultural e da metalinguística bakhtiniana, foram estudados os sentidos e significados de risco e liberdade com adolescentes em cumprimento de medida socioeducativa de internação. As produções textuais e imagéticas de uma oficina temática foram analisadas com base nas três tradições discursivas sobre risco propostas por Mary Jane Spink e no conceito de liberdade em Vygostky.
