Summary: The firm decision of the Valdivia Appellate Court of May 14th 2009 establishes an important precedent in accepting rejections against medical treatments. It states the criterions for an individual decision over a certain medical proposition which results burdensome and costly for the patient. Additionally, regarding underage sick persons, this sentence emphasises the importance of asking the opinions of those who have some authority level and the inability of the Government to force them out-of-proportion measures or with few possibilities of effectiveness.
