Summary: The purpose of this paper is to analyze how procedural narratives resemble literary narratives. With that in mind, if the object of study of Law Theory is similar to the object of Literary Theory, it is possible at first to exchange concepts of both areas, through a correlation of “conceptual lenses” that would allow new observations. That said, this essay uses the concept of fiction formulated by Literature in order to demonstrate how much a novel, object of study of the Literary Theory, is close to a judicial trial, one of the objects of study of the Theory of Law. Finally, it is concluded that judicial proceedings are true fictions attached to reality.
