Summary: The city is by nature public space. It is a reflection on where the concept of êthos, understood as it should be, is implemented, joining it to the concept of limit or reference framework and to the concept of overrun, which should be understood as overflowing and changing paradigm. After conducting an extensive dissertation, the theoretical position is confronted with the reality of the city where the administrators of the shift strive to deny what is really happening in the public space of the city, indicating to publicists, media, among others that they project an image Of the positive city and that consequently it ends up affirming that everything that happens is good. Reflection is an exercise that seeks to confront theoretical positions with the actions and the real reality of the public space of a city like Medellín with strong conflicts who govern an important percentage of public space, citizens and administrators.
