At the same time, it focuses on some limitations of the journalistic perspectivesEl trabajo analiza la visibilidad que los medios de comunicación en el país han construido en torno a la problemática de la violencia hacia mujeres y jóvenes en el período 1983- 2009. De manera especial rastrea en instancias y modalidades singulares en medios gráficos y televisivos: 1) La instalación del tema en los medios de comunicación a fines de los años ‟80; 2) La exhibición espectacularizada de violencia de género en televisión a mediados de los años ‟90; y 3) En la actualidad, dos estrategias retóricas -que invisibilizan la violencia hacia mujeres aún con grados intensos de exhibición de casos y testimonios construidas en torno a „crímenes pasionales‟ y la violencia hacia mujeres y jóvenes como subsidiaria de la política de la „inseguridad ciudadana‟.
