Summary: This paper aims to analyze the concept of the right to be forgotten online. This concept will be analyzed from its origins as a mere tutela (constitutional protection of fundamental rights ) of rights submitted to the agencies for data protection in the European countries, to its current application, configure this right as a quasi-fundamental right, framed within the sphere of the right to fundamental data protection. The work of the Spanish Data Protection Agency will also be analyzed, being the first European Agency, which decided to condemn the search engines for the bad treatment of data produced in its operation.
