Summary: The traditional principle regarding the protection of consumer interests becomes more necessary in electronic contracting. Electronic commerce and the applicable regulations must be inspired in the consumers protection, being suggested first an individual protection and later a collective one. There is a wide variety of consumer protection laws that regulate the activities of enterprises which distribute goods and services in the market. In this text we review the current consumers and users protection in the field of electronic contracting in Spain, in response to the diffuse nature of the consumer interests.
