The text describes the procedural steps as well as perceived changes over the previous period and implementing regulations. In the trials analyzed is possible to perceive the continuity of colonial criminal law and the incorporation of new provisions that culminating with the passage and enactment of the Penal code drafted by carlos Tejedor. This did not involve the immediate abandonment of ancient laws, as the Séptima Partida, however resulted in a conflict between such regulations coexistence.El propósito del trabajo consiste en analizar el proceso de institucionalización de la justicia letrada en el ámbito de la campaña bonaerense -específicamente al sur del río Salado- en el contexto de la construcción estatal que tuvo lugar durante la segunda mitad del siglo XIX. El texto describe los pasos procesales así como las transformaciones percibidas respecto del periodo previo y la aplicación de las normativas vigentes. En los juicios analizados es posible percibir la continuidad de la legislación penal colonial así como la incorporación de nuevas disposiciones que culminarían con la sanción y puesta en vigencia del Código Penal redactado por Carlos Tejedor.
