These figures were not included in the "Real Ordenanza de Intendentes". This paper provides an overview of the emergence of low rural magistrates in Santa Fe during the "intendential" period and identifies some of their specificities and differences.A finales del siglo XVIII las ciudades hispanoamericanas se replantearon el problema del gobierno de sus campañas con un lenguaje político renovado y apelaron a la implementación de figuras específicas (jueces comisionados y jueces pedáneos) para complementar la tarea de los alcaldes de la hermandad, que no estaban necesariamente contempladas en el instrumento reformista.
