Particularly significant is the relationship that this subject holds with the principle of good faith.The central analysis is, in any case,the self-regulation. In this regard, important aspects such as the following are discussed: concept and characters; budgets that self-discipline systems must comply; the possible legal status that it deserves; and the consequences of its negligence.En el presente artículo se analiza, desde la perspectiva del Derecho privado, el sugerente fenómeno de la autorregulación en el ámbito del comercio electrónico. En este sentido, a tal fin, se tiene en consideración la normativa jurídica vigente en Chile. La exposición se inicia tomando como punto de partida los deberes precontractuales de información en los que la autodisciplina desempeña un notable valor. Especialmente significativa resulta la relación que esta materia ostenta con el principio de la buena fe.
