Summary: The research aimed to demonstrate whether the application of literary creativity workshops using visual materials based on the collaborative approach, improves the level of narrative text production in the fourth year's students of República Federal Socialista de Yugoslavia School in Nuevo Chimbote 2011. It this pre-experimental research participated 20 students. The observation was the technique used and its instrument was the check list. The data collection used the non parametric statistics considered the Wilcoxon Test because of its variables are ordinal. The pre and the post test was considered to estimate the significant differences of the means. The study concluded that the application of literary creativity workshops using visual materials based on the collaborative approach improves the level of the narrative text production.
