Summary: In Spain the informed consent of the minor is regulated at the State and regional legislation on the autonomy of the will of the patient. In it, the largest in 16 years may grant consent if same, while consent is established by representation of parents or guardians for the child of this age, and must give information to people older than twelve years, except for cases of limitation of the consent, in which the doctor may act. However, is not regulated with precision the consent of the mature minor of less than 16 years old. In situations of conflict, you can resort to the judicial authority, although there are other measures to resolve such conflicts. There is a particular regulation in specific cases (interrupting pregnancy, biomedical research, clinical trials, organs, transsexualism).
