Summary: The integration of the urban space and of the rural contiguous areas needs instruments that help to support the value of the natural capital and to improve the infrastructures of support of the biodiversity. The Green Infrastructure offers natural solutions to solve environmental problems like the prevention of floods, the climatic regulation of the city, the pollination or the quality of the water, presents in the territorial reality. In the Valencian Community, the Law 5/2014, of July 25, of land management, urbanism and landscape (LOTUP) forms the green Infrastructure as a strategically planned network of the spaces of major environmental, cultural and visual value that connect the territory and it determines previously the territorial and municipal planning. This research approaches the characters and functions of this territorial strategy and develops the autonomous regulation of the Green Infrastructure in relation with the management and determination in the urban development local planning.
