Then I study the regulation of this tax in the historical Spanish law with special reference to the reforms that have taken place since the year 1792 to the present, highlighting the current regulations in the common Spanish territoryEste trabajo analiza el impuesto sucesorio en Roma -vicesima hereditatium- a través de las noticias que nos transmiten Dion Casio y Plinio del Joven en Panegírico de Trajano y las fuentes jurídicas. Se destaca el origen, naturaleza, hecho imponible, sujetos pasivos así como los sujetos exentos de tributación: a) Pobres. b) Heredes domestici. c) Fisco, erario y erario militar; base imponible; tipo de gravamen, órganos recaudatorios: publicanos, procuratores, en el imperio romano, desde Augusto hasta su abolición. A continuación se estudia la regulación de este impuesto en el derecho histórico español con especial referencia a las reformas acaecidas desde el año 1792 hasta la actualidad, poniendo de manifiesto la regulación actual en el territorio común español.Universidad de Castilla-La Mancha: Facultad de Derecho y Ciencias Sociales.
