Then, the document outlines the constitutional mechanisms contemplated for managing and governing the metropolitan areas to finally expose the State cases that, before the lack of a domestic legal framework and based on the logic of the federal system, are intended to lay the legal foundations for solving this problemEn este texto se analiza la definición jurídica del fenómeno metropolitano en seis Estados de la república mexicana. Se estudian seis legislaciones estatales creadas expresamente para atender y darle forma jurídica a un problema que se ha acentuado con mayor fuerza en México, el cual desde el punto de vista de las instancias gubernamentales tiene mayor relevancia en los últimos veinte años. De este modo, el documento esboza el fenómeno metropolitano como contexto social.
