Protection systems require permanent review of its variables.Este documento presenta elementos de un manuscrito en preparación y mayor densidad y contiene algunos hitos en la historia de los servicios sociales y, su participación en la seguridad social y la protección social del país. El documento expone algunos programas y proyectos que desarrollan servicios sociales para la población general y, específicos para personas mayores. En primer lugar, analiza la evolución mundial en materia de riegos y vulnerabilidad del sistema de protección social. En segundo lugar, el desempeño presentado en el caso colombiano, para finalmente, considerar la financiación y recursos requeridos para su disposición.
