So, the question that guided the research was to see how the principle of solidarity is expressed in the health system in Colombia, analyzing in the circle of understanding relating the whole to the parts, the interrelationship of solidarity with other principles general health system, the principle of solidarity in the social security system in health and position of the Constitutional Court on the principle of solidarity in health.En este artículo de investigación se analiza la configuración del principio de solidaridad en el Sistema General de Salud Colombiano, en los regímenes contributivo y subsidiado. La investigación se asume como una experiencia hermenéutica, que es un paradigma de investigación cualitativo, que implica tanto un proceso de formación del ser que investiga, como un proceso de traducción de las estructuras de sentido en busca de algo nuevo por conceptualizar.
