One of the major differences between the institute adopted bythe Mexican and the Brazilian Laws consists of the competence of the Federal Executive Power in Mexico to promulgate therespective decree. However, the most important distinction refers to the competence of the President of the Republic or the State Governors, in Mexico, to turn a collective convention into a Contract-Law.O presente artigo trata da temática do Contrato-Lei no Direito do trabalho Mexicano, que na doutrina respectiva é conhecido como Contrato Coletivo Obrigatório. Apesar da diferença de nomenclatura a legislação trabalhista brasileira também inseriu este instituto com a denominação de convenção coletiva de trabalho. Uma das diferenças específicas entre o instituto adotado pelas leis mexicanas e brasileiras diz respeito a competência do Poder Executivo Federal no México para promulgar o decreto respectivo.
