However, at the occurrence of any of the grounds of suspensionmay be presented some questions or voids that it will try to be answer in this paper.Consequently we shall refer first to the definition, purpose and characteristics of thesuspension. Subsequently, will be analyzed in detail every single ground of contractsuspension in Colombia. Then, will be studied the effects of the suspension andwe will refer to the resumption of work, and conclude with the comparative analysisof the figure in some Hispanic countries (Mexico, Paraguay and Spain).

Then, will be studied the effects of the suspension andwe will refer to the resumption of work, and conclude with the comparative analysisof the figure in some Hispanic countries (Mexico, Paraguay and Spain).Ainda quando não parecera evidente, a suspensão do contrato de trabalho revistegrande importância durante a execução do mesmo cada vez que obedece a um dosprincípios mais importantes desta disciplina, a estabilidade laboral, porque o que seprocura é que a pesar de se apresentar circunstancias de adversidade durante o desenvolvimentodo contrato, ou situações que em outros âmbitos fariam desaparecer arelação, esta se mantenha viva. Ante a ocorrência de qualquer das causais taxativasde suspensão, podem surgir inquietudes ou vazios, os quais se intentaram responderou encher ao longe deste escrito. É assim como se fará em primeiro lugar à definição, finalidade e características da instituição jurídica, posteriormente se analisaram emdetalhe cada uma das causais de suspensão do contrato na Colômbia, depois serevisaram os efeitos da suspensão e se fará referência à retomada do trabalho, paraultimar com a comparação da figura em alguns países hispano-americanos (México,Paraguai e Espanha).Aun cuando no pareciera evidente, la suspensión del contrato de trabajo reviste gran importancia durante la ejecución de éste, toda vez que obedece a uno de los principios fundamentales de esta disciplina, la estabilidad laboral, porque lo que se busca es que, a pesar depresentarse circunstancias de adversidad durante el desarrollo del contrato, o situaciones que en otros ámbitos harían desaparecer la relación, esta se mantenga viva. Ante la ocurrencia de cualquiera de las causales taxativas de suspensión, pueden surgir inquietudes o vacíos, los que se intentarán responder o llenar a lo largo de este escrito.
