These modifications, the introduction of which has resulted in an increasing attribution of guilt, have been justified by claims that they were what society was demanding. This study aims to explore public opinion with regard to the minimum age at which criminal liability should be attributed. The results obtained show public support for undifferentiated treatment of older adolescents and at the same time an ambivalent opinion regarding the transfer of degrees of responsibility in the various areas.En contraste con los valores que orientaron el nacimiento de la justicia juvenil, las reformas practicadas durante las últimas décadas han otorgado preeminencia al delito cometido, relegando la importancia de la madurez en la determinación de la responsabilidad penal de los menores. Dichas modificaciones, cuya materialización ha entrañado una creciente atribución de culpabilidad, han sido justificadas aludiendo a las demandas ciudadanas. Por ello, el presente estudio tiene como objeto explorar la opinión pública acerca de la edad mínima de asunción de la responsabilidad penal. Abstract: In contrast to the social values

responsibility of minors. These modifications,
