Laburpena: The regulation of the sale of motor vehicles in Cuba, as well as other forms of inter vivos transfer of property over those goods, has meant a substantial challenge for judicial officers and society in general. Officers must interpret the principles recognized in that law according to the political and economic foundations enshrined in the Constitution. Although Decree 292/2011 generates multiple questions, in essence gives legal protection to legal acts with deep roots in society, responds to the historical moment of its enactment and directs the new directions of the country’s economic policy. So the best thing is that the judicial officers interpret it with rationality and logic, in tune with the political sources that prompted it and forming part of the legal system in which it is incorporated.
