The author concludes by emphasizing both the significance and some key missing elements in Rawls´s work on intergenerational justice.En este artículo, el autor analiza el legado de Rawls en lo que respecta a la comprensión de las cuestiones de justicia intergeneracional. Se abordan tres cuestiones. En primer lugar, ¿cuáles son las dificultades enfrentadas por Rawls en sus intentos de definir una posición original capaz de arrojar luz sobre las cuestiones intergeneracionales? En segundo lugar, ¿cómo debe evaluarse y entenderse el principio de Rawls de "ahorro justo"? Aquí, varias interpretaciones se enfrentan, incluyendo una maximin y una suficientista. En tercer lugar, ¿Es en algo significativo que Rawls añada a la evaluación filosófica "la tasa social de descuento"?
