Sumario: This article studies the reality of the Parliaments of the Autonomous Communities in the Spanish Constitution of 1978, specifying this reference in the Spanish Constitution, Art. 152 - to the Legislative Assemblies, and what has represented this new reality in the Spanish political system. Also, it analyzes the electoral system and the composition of the seventeen parliaments of the autonomous regions. Finally, it approaches the reality represented by development of different functions that correspond to this institution, distinguishing between the Legislative, Financial and Budget functions, the Impulse function and the Role of Political Control. It concludes with a final insight about the reality of the autonomous parliaments at the present moment, and its projection in the political realities of the different autonomous communities and throughout the state.
