Summary: The Palestine´s initiative at the United Nations (2011, September) had an important media, political and diplomacy echoes. But it had not the desired outcomes: the entry of Palestine as Member State of UN. Its biggest success was the acceptance of Palestine as Member State of UNESCO. However, the strong opposition from United States, with important economic penalties and political pressure, paralyzed the petition for full membership of Palestine in another UN specialized agencies. A year later, Palestine has been admitted as a non-member observer state (2012, November).However, the bottom line is if the two-State solution has become obsolete for its implementation due to growing Israeli colonization of Palestine territories.
