Known for his brutality and disregard for human rights, this phase extended its operation on the prerogatives of descent from those considered subversive. Data from the National Commission on Disappearance of Persons (CONADEP) indicate that approximately 500 infants were abducted from the arms and bellies of female political prisoners - later murdered or disappeared - and given in adoption to families sympathetic to the military regime. Nevertheless, between 1980 and 2010 the performance of Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo (a group of grandparents of children engrossed illegally) forced attempts at re-establishing the truth of genetic grandchildren usurped. In this context, how these life stories reveal? The creation of the National Genetic Data Bank (BNDG) was used in this process, but how to reconstitute within Courts lives interrupted and redirected? What are the challenges faced by law - the balance between the biological and emotional truths? Using the socio-legal method, this proposal adds to the studies on memory and justice in Latin America of secs. XX and XXI at the relationship between law and technology in human identification.
