This article examines the question of the social integration of the immigrant in Spain from the point
of view of the rights and the empirical approximation to the reality of that process. For it, first of all
frames the integration process in the bosom of an historical, wider and juridical inclusión/exclusion
process. It indicates the principal obstacles concerning the efficiency of the rules and princuples related to
the integration. In this meaning, the article deals with the instrumental vision of the immigrant and how
this vision concern the social tools (indicators) and the measurement of the whole process of integration.
Finally, it offers some proposals for improving the measurement of the process of integration across the
use of indicators of rights. |
