Summary: The present study aims to contribute to the understanding of political and economic processes involved in the emergence of the Neoclassical Movement occurring in administration and rarely discussed in literature. Based on Kuhns assumptions, we have also aimed to assess if neoclassicism exerted sufficient influence to represent a new paradigm in administrative thought. A bibliographic survey was thus undertaken approaching works related to administrative theory, the United States policy, the North- American domestic economy and its relation to the rest of the post-war world. Results showed that the Neoclassical Movement was incohesive and it should not therefore be considered as a theory. Its influence has been considerate even up to the present day and it effectively provides a historic example of the empirical and theoretical relations between administration, politics and economics - a dialogue key to organizational theories.
