Citizen empowerment and non-violent approaches thus represent mechanisms which, far from being unrealistic, can be effective in confronting the violence generated by the internal armed conflict in Colombia.Ao cidadão, além de lhe caber exigir urgentemente um direito primordial como o é a paz, corresponde-lhe igualmente procurar mecanis-mos para fomentá-la a partir de um trabalho de base social, ainda que o apa-relho juridico-estatal nem sempre esteja em condições de lhe dar essa garan-tia. A paz constitui-se numa condição de possibilidade de aproveitamento do potencial humano, ao mesmo tempo que se torna num factor primordial de bem-estar. Contrapõem-se a ela cenários de violência que resultam ser uma doença para o corpo social, dado que minam o desenvolvimento sócio-cultural e económico das comunidades. Desta maneira, o enriquecimento do cidadão e as vias da não violência são mecanismos que, longe de ser irreais, podem ser eficazes para confrontar a violência gerada pelo conflito armado interno vivido em ColômbiaAl ciudadano, además de urgirle exigir un derecho primordial como lo es la paz, le corresponde buscar también, mecanismos para fomentarla a partir de un trabajo desde la base social, en tanto que el aparato jurídico-estatal no siempre está en condiciones de garantizarla. La paz se constituye en una condición de posibilidad del despliegue del potencial humano, a la par que deviene en un factor primordial de bienestar. A ella se le contraponen escenarios de violencia que resultan ser una enfermedad para el cuerpo social, puesto que minan el desarrollo sociocultural y económico de las comunidades.
