This is a cursory glance at the system envisaged in the Constitution regarding the guidelines on safety, the vital organ of a republic like Colombia have raised and will raise from within its framework as enshrined in the constitution where the axis has historic been its cradle.A través de la línea del tiempo, en 200 años de independencia las Constituciones de Colombia que han demarcado su porvenir, señalan a la seguridad hondas transformaciones motivadas por enfrentamientos territoriales o de índole político, o bien de discrepancias limítrofes o tensiones internas que amenazan con expandirse; sin embargo, este oscilar entre retos, conceptos, acuerdos, definiciones y búsquedas legítimas de estabilidad democrática, presentan un discurrir de la seguridad que han precisado replantear el rumbo que la protección del territorio, sus pobladores y la convivencia con las naciones vecinas conlleva en circunstancias y periodos disímiles.
