The objective of this report is to present the idea: Where the limits of the ourt-appointed powers come up and how they are supported in the contemporary law.Las reformas procesales del último siglo se fundamentaron en una nueva perspectiva: la tendencia publicista del proceso �incluido el proceso civil, que por tradición se había estudiado como privado�, lo cual lleva a un Juez director del proceso. Un vértice interesante por abordar a partir de estas nuevas tendencias, corresponde a los límites que tiene el Juez en el desarrollo de los poderes de oficio que puede desplegar sobre la prueba.
