Summary: The Andalusian Statute of Autonomy of 1981 did not contain explicit allusions to the execution of competences in the prevention of occupational hazards, which were subsumed within the labor legislation. In 1983 a moderate transfer of competence was made. However, the competences of Andalusia have been acquired by the “call” of the Law of Prevention of Occupational Risks. The Andalusian community has issued rules for institutional participation, creating the Andalusian Council for the Prevention of Occupational Risks, the Centers for the Prevention of Occupational Risks, the Andalusian Institute for the Prevention of Occupational Risks and the Tripartite Advisory Commission on Labor Inspection and Social Security of Andalusia. The planning of the preventive action of the Autonomous Administration is currently focused on the Andalusian Strategy for Safety and Health at Work 2017-2022
