Summary: In this article we develop a longitudinal study on the dynamics of the yearly appointments on the upmost hierarchical tenures of the Argentinean Judicial Power, Public Ministry of the Prosecution and Public Ministry of the Defense. Upon a comparison of yearly rates of appointment, we describe trends and changes on the existing processes of vertical segregation observed on the different hierarchies. The results show the persistence of gender gaps in the appointments of upmost tenures. Although a significant inferior proportion of appointed women can be observed, still there is no evidence of change towards reversing such tendency. This flaw unveils a de facto system of limitations that is created by, and imposed through the usual behavior of, such institutions, showing the need to move towards a socially plural composition of the judicial system. We develop this study through the usage of novel technologies of Data Science and Machine Learning applied over open and official repositories of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of Argentina.
