This tool is considered a support to ensure the fidelity, legality and impartiality of the documentation that is generated in each administrative unit. In turn, it encourages the development of processes such as description, classification, organization and dissemination. The Universidad Central "Marta Abreu" de Las Villas lacks a correct identification of the documentary typologies that were generated by said entity in the exercise of its functions in the period from 1952-1983. The study aims to describe the elaboration of a catalog of documentary typologies generated by this center from 1952-1983. There is not a great variety of authors who deal with the identification theme. It is considered a very old technical-documentary process, although Cruz (2006) and Duranti (2015) stand out. For the identification, the Document Management and Archives Administration Model of the Transparency and Access to Information Network created in 2015 was applied as a methodology, with Beatriz Franco Espiño and Ricard Pérez Alcázar as main coordinators. Finally, it shows as a result the documentary typologies identified in two of its dependencies: the Central University Archive and the Villa Clara Provincial Botanical Garden.
