The objective focuses on characterizing the confrontation between the State and the, then, new manifestations of popular struggle; The hypothesis that is based on that repression is the organized response of the political system to stop this confrontation with the population that starts its organization in search of alternatives because the existing ones, including the revolutionary socialist bloc, were already showing limited and dominant.Neste artigo, se faz uma abordagem ao estudo da repressão no momento em que os movimentos sociais começam no México, em direção à segunda metade da década dos anos cinquenta, antes do movimento estudantil do ano 68. O objetivo está centralizado em caracterizar o confronto entre o Estado e as novas manifestações da luta popular de aquele momento. A hipótese da que se inicia é baseada em que a repressão é a resposta organizada do sistema político para freiar esse confronto com a população que inicia sua organização em busca de alternativas proprias, porque as existentes, incluindo a revolucionária do bloco socialista, já foi mostrada como limitada e dominante.En este trabajo se hace un acercamiento a la represión en el momento que inician los movimientos sociales en México, hacia la segunda mitad de los años cincuenta, previo al movimiento estudiantil del 68.
