Laburpena: The current pandemic caused by COVID-19 and the governmental measures adopted to combat it, have called into question the respect of fundamental rights. International jurisprudence, especially the European, has addressed, over last decades, many of the issues raised in relation to this global problem and the need to guarantee human rights. The objective of this research work is to identify and delimit the basic principles existing in said jurisprudence about sanitary vaccination and respect for basic rights. Its results can serve as a guide for national institutions and for individuals themselves when tackling this challenge posed, since, given its novelty and exceptional nature, it suffers from few and fragmentary internal references that may be useful to safeguard human rights in these uncertain times.
