Summary: This paper reflects on the role of Antitrust Law in new digital markets, characterized by a limited number of gatekeepers with market power, such as Google, Amazon, Facebook and Apple (GAFA). The goals of Antitrust Law are analysed in their historical evolution, to assess whether it is an adequate and sufficient instrument to solve this problem, taking into account the 2020 proposals in USA –Investigation by the House of Representatives Subcommittee on Antitrust Law– and in EU –EC proposal for a Digital Markets Act–.
