Global constitutionalism is one of the most successful approaches so far as a means to study this phenomenon, especially in the English and German literatures. In spite of this fact, it still lacks an agreed definition, and it continues without establishing what its scope is. The objective of this article is to analyse this neologism and its several meanings, collecting the most relevant contributions.
